We've remained a home based business to keep the overhead down for you and us. Commercial property is extremely expensive so other studios either have to charge higher rates or they have to take on any project they can just to pay their mortgage or rent. Unfortunately many of them have had to close in recent years. A lot of them sure were pretty though.
I'm Dave Young, the owner and engineer of Desert City Sound Recording. It's me that you talk to and me that does the work. I started recording in 1984 and began recording for the public in 1986. I'm still a working musician and music teacher but most of my time is spent in my studios control room. It's a job I love and I'm thankful to be able to do what I love for a living.
